CREATING A PERSONAL VIEW
Each home page has a Shared View that has been set up by your administration.  Certain parts are locked so that you cannot change them.  As a contributor, you can create a customized Personal View for any home page so that the various Web parts are displayed in a layout that works best for you.

Create a Personal View

  1. Click on the Modify My Page link in the upper right corner of the screen.
    Note:  If the link shows Modify Shared Page, click the down arrow and select Personal View from the drop-down list.
     
  2. Click on Design this Page to display the page in Design Mode
     
  3. Each Web part's title bar will contain an X and look like this:
Most Web Parts can be customized, moved or closed, however, some Web parts may be locked down by the administrator.
  • Move a Web part
    Hover your mouse until it changes to a 4-way arrow.  Hold the left mouse button down and drag the part to the new location on the page.

  • Close a Web part
    Click on the x at the right end of the title bar.

  • Change the display of the Web part
    Click on the down arrow and choose either Minimize or Restore

  • To add new Web parts
    Click on Modify My Page > Add Web Parts > Browse.  Scroll through the available Web parts and drag the one you want to use onto the page.

  • To exit Design Mode
    Click on Modify My Page.  The Design this Page option will reflect a checkmark.  Click on it to uncheck and leave Design Mode.
